Otis

Otis is a curious, playful puppy with a touch of mischief thrown in. His daily routine is: Play, eat, nap, repeat. Favourite activities include wrestling with his brother, sniffing around the backyard, figuring out how to get the treats out of his treat ball, and snoozing in his bed while you are busy working. He is generally a pretty quiet guy but will sing you a loud protest song if you aren’t moving quickly enough getting his supper ready.

He sleeps 7 hours most nights and keeps his crate clean. He goes to bed at night without complaint. He is working on his house training. He has an independent side which should allow him to build up to being alone for full weekdays on his own over time. He would love to have another dog in the home but he could also be an only dog as long as he has plenty of opportunities to meet and play with other dogs in order to build healthy socialization skills. Any other dog in the home would have to be tolerant of puppy antics. Otis takes direction from older dogs well but does occasionally have to be reminded to respect their space. He is also great at entertaining himself when the other dogs are not in the mood.

Otis loves to eat and is a fast learner. He currently knows sit, comes when called and gets into his crate at meal time. He would be a puppy kindergarten all star! As with any puppy, Otis likes to chew on things he shouldn’t. Fortunately, he is easily redirected with an appropriate chew toy.

Otis has an off switch which he flips every evening. He has his dinner, goes outside for a few minutes then spends the rest of the evening snuggling, snoozing or chewing on his favourite chew toy until bedtime. Otis would be a wonderful addition to any fun loving, active, nurturing home.
