Aretha Franklin
Aretha Franklin (lovingly referred to as Frankie) is a delightful German Shepherd mixed puppy with a heart of gold and a mind that’s eager to learn! She’s a sweet, medium-energy pup who loves to play and explore her world.
Frankie is incredibly intelligent and shows a strong desire to learn new commands and tricks. She responds well to positive reinforcement and is already making great strides in her training. She’s a quick learner and will thrive in a home that provides consistent training and mental stimulation.
While Frankie enjoys her playtime, she’s also a big fan of cuddles and snuggles. She loves to be close to her people and will happily curl up for a nap after a good play session.
She would thrive in a home with another playful dog who can help her learn the ropes and provide companionship. If you don’t have another dog, please provide details in your application about how you will provide Frankie with regular doggie play dates and socialization.
Frankie has no history with cats, but given her young age, she could likely adapt to a dog-savvy feline with proper, controlled introductions. She’s also great with kids, though her puppy energy means supervision is needed, especially with younger children.
A fenced-in yard would be ideal for Frankie to burn off her puppy energy, but it’s not a requirement. Regular walks and playtime will keep her happy and healthy.
Frankie is crate trained and her house training is a work in progress, so she will still need frequent potty breaks. She is very motivated to learn and is improving everyday. If you are ready for a smart and sweet puppy and are willing to put in the training, Frankie is ready to be your new best friend.
