Ellis

Ellis is a spunky puppy with lots of energy. He is looking for a family experienced with dogs who will give him love, attention, and training.

Ellis loves other dogs. His favourite activity, by far, is play fighting with his foster sister who is much bigger than him. He also enjoys playing tug, chewing on toys (and socks!), and sniffing around the backyard. He would do well in a family who already has a playful but patient dog. He has not interacted with any cats in care, he requires a cat free home.

Ellis is house-trained. Ellis knows his basic commands like ”sit” and ”wait”. He’s also learning to walk on leash and is doing quite well. Ellis loves treats and is food motivated. He would love to have a family that would devote time to further his training, and help him put his best paw forward. Ellis does well in his crate and he can spend the night there without too much trouble.

Ellis is considered medium energy. He would prefer a family that is more often at home to help him spend his energy. Ellis does use his mouth during play with people, so he is looking for a home with no children while he learns that teeth belong on toys only.

Ellis is a truly adorable puppy. He’s a little daredevil though: it’s a pleasure to watch him jump from one couch to the other (and fail!), and do all sorts of flips, spins and whirls in an attempt to impress his foster sister.
