Vaughan

Vaughan is a great little cuddle bug who will add a ton of love to your home. Do you want a medium-energy puppy who falls asleep with his head on your shoulder? He’s your guy. He loves people and does well greeting calm dogs of all sizes. Vaughan will be your shadow when at home, curled up by your feet at your desk or on your lap or shoulder while watching tv or reading a book. He’ll want to supervise as you cook so watch out underfoot!
As a puppy who wants to please his people, Vaughan is very food motivated and will be a great candidate for positive reinforcement puppy training classes. He is a quick study and already has a decent sit and recall inside his foster home. He is starting to explore the great big world with his foster mom and her dogs. He enjoys his walks and is a good walker for his age.
Vaughan still needs lots of praise and encouragement with housetraining, and his people will need to ensure he gets frequent breaks outside and plenty of encouragement when he does his business outside. It helps if his human or an older dog pal can be out there with him to start. Crate training is underway but he is loud in his crate when first put in or if he hears movement like people returning home. He would do better with a mid-day break as he is so young.
He is still a puppy and occasionally has the zoomies; he will play and chase his toys the same way a cat would, which will include hoarding your socks!  He loves to play tug, too!  If he has dog friends that are patient with his occasional exuberance, he will help keep them young with his sweet-natured antics.  He’s a joy to have next to you in life!
