Amber
This little girl is a gem. At just over a year she is still playful, but she definitely asked to let everyone know: NO SQUEAKERS PLEASE! She is terrified of them. She would prefer a quieter home as loud noise overwhelm this little lady. Now that we got that out of the way, she wants you to know that she lives with dogs and loves playing with them. She likes stuffies and chew sticks. She loves snuggling and being pet. She is crate trained and settles easily for a maximum of 5 hours.
She can guard her food around other dogs (not people!). Easily managed by feeding her in her crate! She is house trained but dislikes the cold so will need extra encouragement on chilly days!
She is very food motivated which will make it easy to further her leash training, which is a work in progress. She knows sit and high five. She is wonderful in the car and usually sleeps.
Amber is learning that being loved, cared for and safe is pretty awesome and is anxiously waiting for a family to call her own.

- Fenced yard: Ideal as she is still learning leash walks.
- Special: Amber was Ehrlichia positive but has been treated. She will require a blood test at our cost and needs to remain on tick prevention. We are looking for a home in or around the Ottawa-Gatineau area as Amber has remaining vetting to be completed at our vet in West Ottawa, which a new home will be required to attend. She is looking for a home that can provide a midday break as she can only hold it for 5 hours. A home that can help her work up to a full workday would be great too. None of our dogs are candidates for public dog parks due to risk, so if these are important to you, please do not apply.
