Deandra’s journey is nothing short of incredible. Found alone in the freezing temperatures of winter in Manitoba, infected with mange, this little survivor has proven she has the heart of a true survivor —strong, determined, and full of life! Now safe and warm, Deandra is ready to find the perfect home where she can grow, learn, and thrive.
A Diamond in the Ruff, Deandra is a beautiful girl, with striking features and an intelligent gaze. She’s still a puppy, full of energy and curiosity, eager to explore the world and learn new things. Deandra is eager to please and will prove to be a bright and eager student with lots of positive reinforcement. While she can be a bit “puppy nippy” as she explores her world with her mouth, she’s already showing great improvement. With patience and consistency, she’ll quickly learn the ropes and become a well-mannered companion.
Despite her rough start, Deandra has a genuine heart, and is a loving and affectionate pup. She craves attention and interaction, showering her humans with play and excited barks. Her resilience and gentle nature shine through, making her an ideal companion for a family who can provide her with the love and guidance she deserves.
Deandra’s early experiences means she needs owners who understand her needs and can provide consistent training and socialization. We believe Deandra is a mix of energetic breeds and she will need plenty of exercise, playtime, and mental stimulation to thrive. She is still learning and growing so her new family will need to be patient and understanding as she adjusts to her new home and continues her training.

- Housing Type: Single or townhome as she can be loud when first crated, but will settle.
- Fenced in yard: Required in the city. Supervised long lead while you are present with her in the country
- Special: Deandra needs a midday break to help with housetraining. Hybrid work schedule could work as long as the puppy has a pen set-up. We are looking for a home in or around the Ottawa-Gatineau area as she has outstanding vet care covered by the adoption fee remaining to complete at our vet in West Ottawa, which a new home will be required to attend.
