Ellie
Little miss Ellie is outgoing, playful, mischievous, and a little stubborn. She loves to chew, bones and hard toys are her favorite but sometimes when she is feeling mischievous she chooses to chew on shoes. She may only be 30 pounds but this girl has a larger than life personality.
Ellie loves dogs and is very playful with them, if she goes to a home with another dog it would be best if the dog is playful as well. Ellie lives with cats and while she likes them they don’t love her, she would require a home with dog savvy cats. Ellie lives with kids and loves the attention, she would do best in a home with dog savvy kids as she is easily excitable. Ellie is a medium energy dog, she loves her walks but does not like the cold so is sometimes reluctant to walk in our Canadian winters.
Ellie is fully potty trained and scratches at the back door when she has to go to the bathroom. Ellie is crated when her foster parents are away but she does not like it, she will whine while in her crate but with repetition and structure it will improve. Ellie would love a family who can take her to positive reinforcement training classes. Ellie does well in the car.
Ellie is a Velcro dog and loves human contact, if you allow the snuggles she will take full advantage! Ellie loves to be comfortable, she is a nester and loves to have a blanket to cuddle with or pillows to plop on. If you’re looking for the absolute cutest lap warmer then Ellie is your girl.

We are looking for a home within the Ottawa/Gatineau area, willing to travel for the meet and greet. None of our dogs are candidates for dog parks, so please do not apply if these are important to you.
