Homer

D’oh! Homer is now available for adoption! Every once in a while a truly special dog comes along and for us, that is Homer. This boy loves to love! Homer loves life and is such a happy, gentle and sweet dog (not to mention handsome). Homer is a medium energy guy who enjoys snuggles and naps just as much as he enjoys playtime and adventures. He loves to explore the woods nearby his house and currently enjoys two 45-60 mins walk per day as well two smaller walks/bathroom breaks.

Homer would be happy in any home environment as long as he is getting enough exercise and enough cuddles! Much like the other famous Homer, this guy loves food! He will need to get regular exercise to keep up his sleek physique, otherwise he could start to resemble Homer Simpson. Currently Homer has someone home with him 2-3 days a week but he is ok to be left alone for a full work day. He is house trained, crate trained and quiet and he will curl up on cozy blankets or his bed while he waits for you to return.

Homer loves to meet new dogs and also currently lives with a cat who he is very respectful towards and even shares his bed with from time to time. His foster mama has had other dogs stay with them occasionally and Homer is always welcoming of new guests but he prefers to not be jumped on a lot so puppies and puppy energy might be too much for this guy. He is sensitive to having his paws touched so nail trims are a work in progress for Homer. Preference will be given to a home that will continue to work on this with him with patience and positive reinforcement.

All in all, Homer is an excellent buddy! He loves car rides, adventures, people, dogs cats, snuggles and love! What more could you ask for in a companion?
