Jenny

Remember Jenny? The sweet momma we pulled from the shelter only weeks before Christmas is now ready for her forever home. She is the perfect mix of couch potato and zoomie queen. She is a cuddle bug and loves to be where her people are.
Finally getting a chance to be the center of attention instead of a mom, Jenny may occasionally get into mischief if unattended, or counter surf for her next snack. That tail of hers does not stop wagging when she is on adventures!
Jenny may be able to live in a home with dog-savvy cats. She loves playing with other dogs who can tolerate her rough and tumble style. She would love another buddy in the home, or to be a solo dog with dedicated humans to keep her engaged. Jenny loves her walks and knows when it is time to hit the road!  This chatty girl does bark frequently out of excitement when wanting to meet new people and dogs. Her adopter is encouraged to continue positive reinforcement classes with her to help reduce this behaviour.
Jenny is house trained and crate trained, though will protest for the initial moments. A nice frozen kong goes a long way for this foodie! Hybrid work schedule where she is not alone for more than 4-5 hours is preferred, or a 1-2 full days with a midday walk break. She is working on so many new skills such as sit, down, watch me, wait, and treat. Sometimes the excitement of new visitors makes Jenny forget to keep 4 on the floor. She is working on finding her calm before being introduced. When overstimulated, she does get mouthy, so only adults and teenagers in the home is best for this youthful soul.
Jenny has improved her car tolerance since coming into care, and can do long trips just fine! She has already mastered a 5hr car ride and would love to travel more with her forever family.
