Meet Maxwell! He’s a lovely boy who is ready to light up your life! Maxwell loves his people and quickly becomes friends with most adults that he meets. He thrives on human affection and is known for his heartwarming empathy, always ready to lift your spirits on a bad day. Maxwell hasn’t been exposed to children so we are looking for a home with no young kiddos.

Currently, Maxwell shares his home with another dog, and they get along famously. He’s a social pup who enjoys the company of friendly and easygoing canine pals. However, Maxwell prefers controlled introductions with new dogs. Due to his prey drive he’s not suited for a home with cats.

On walks, Maxwell’s enthusiasm towards other dogs translates into barking and pulling on the leash, so a peaceful neighborhood would be ideal while his new owner works on his leash reactivity. He’s a pro in the car, making for an excellent co-pilot on road trips. Maxwell can handle being alone during the workday, but he appreciates a household where occasional barking won’t be an issue.

He is considered a medium-high energy pooch. He loves walks and would make a great hiking companion. He is a huge fan of play sessions and enjoys playing fetch. A fenced backyard or access to a private, fenced in area would be a dream come true for Maxwell!
