Russell

Russell is very easy going. He enjoys playing and will chase his favourite toy around for a little while. Russell really loves to snuggle and will join anyone if they sit down on the couch and will happily fall asleep right on your lap. He is outgoing and loves to meet new people and other dogs.

Russell loves dogs and gets along with dogs of any size, when on a walk he loves to say hi and will let out a small grumble if he can’t meet the dog. He also has no problem being an only dog but he would love play dates if he is an only dog. Russell has not met a cat while in care but he lives with a bunny and does chase, he would do best in a cat free home. Russell lives with kids and loves them, sometimes for attention he nips at ankles so we are asking for older kids in the home. Russell is a medium energy dog, he loves his multiple short walks a day and his indoor playtime but overall he is a fairly calm dog.

Russell is fully crate trained but we believe he would not be destructive if left loose, he can also do a full work day in his crate. Russell is fully potty trained. Russell knows the command sit and his family is working on lie down and stay, he would love a family to continue his training. Russell is a little apprehensive getting in the car but once he is in he is fine.

If you are looking for a dog to cuddle up and watch a movie with, Russell is your guy. He loves nothing more than to get love and attention from his people but will not whine or bark if you are busy with something. He is very quiet in the house and will happily do his own thing until you are ready to cuddle him. He is a great walking partner and a pure joy to be around.
